What is Industry 4.0 and what are some of the technologies that are driving it? Industry 4.0 is a term that refers to the fourth industrial revolution, which is characterized by the integration of digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, the internet of things, robotics, and 3D printing, into the manufacturing sector. Industry 4.0 aims to create smart factories that are more efficient, flexible, and responsive to customer needs and market changes. Some of the technologies that are enabling Industry 4.0 are: - Artificial intelligence (AI) : AI is the ability of machines to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as reasoning, learning, decision-making, and problem-solving. AI can help optimize production processes, improve product quality, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. - Cloud computing: Cloud computing is delivering computing services, such as servers, storage, databases, software, and analytics, ov...

IoT club Webinar-1 on 25/10/2022
Hey guys,
I am happy to inform you that (the IoT club ) Dept of ECE of Pragati Engineering College (Autonomous) in association with the carrier guidance cell is organizing an online session on
"Future vision of IoT and it's connectivity"
25.10.2022 at 02.00 PM
What is the Internet of Things?
The IoT may sound like sci-fi series where everyday objects come to life, but it's more subtle than that.
Think:
- Smart switches that talk to the smartphone
- Smart TV's playing videos from a laptop
- Smart thermostats that sync with your smartwatch
What is an IoT device?
It's a physical object that connects to the internet. it can be a fitness tracker, a thermostat, a lock, or an appliance - even a light bulb.
Imagine shoes that track your heartbeat... and can flag potential health problems. You don't have to imagine - these "smart" shoes already exist!
How Did we get here?
In less than a decade we have gone from using our fingers to interacting with a device (the first touch screen device like the iPod)
↓
To be able to talk to our devices (asking Google on your laptop for a recipe)
↓
To now have devices talk to each other without our help (your phone telling your apartment thermostat that you've reached home and to turn on the A/C)
